Analysis of lyrics:
Cold, 'cause she has been here before
She doesn't cry anymore, no looking back
No, she doesn't go to the bar
Too many lovers she scarred
And they want her back
She doesn't cry anymore, no looking back
No, she doesn't go to the bar
Too many lovers she scarred
And they want her back
She loves control, she wants it her way
And there's no way she'll ever stay unless you give it up
She loves control, she wants it her way
And all it takes is just one taste, you wanna give it up
And there's no way she'll ever stay unless you give it up
She loves control, she wants it her way
And all it takes is just one taste, you wanna give it up
Bold, you know she lives for the thrill
You know she lusts for the kill
So they won't come back
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
Don't, don't you try taming the storm
Don't say you haven't been warned
'Cause she won't like that, like that
You know she lusts for the kill
So they won't come back
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
Don't, don't you try taming the storm
Don't say you haven't been warned
'Cause she won't like that, like that
'Cause she loves control, she wants it her way
And there's no way she'll ever stay unless you give it up
She loves control, she wants it her way
And all it takes is just one taste, you wanna give it up
And there's no way she'll ever stay unless you give it up
She loves control, she wants it her way
And all it takes is just one taste, you wanna give it up
She loves control
She loves control
She loves control
Say what you want
But the way she kills you, makes you feel alive
And you know that it feels right
But the way she kills you, makes you feel alive
And you know that it feels right
She loves control, she wants it her way
And there's no way she'll ever stay unless you give it up
She loves control, she wants it her way
And all it takes is just one taste, you wanna give it up
And there's no way she'll ever stay unless you give it up
She loves control, she wants it her way
And all it takes is just one taste, you wanna give it up
She loves control
She loves, she loves
She loves, she loves
You know that she loves it, she can't live without it, no
Control, hey
She loves, she loves
She loves, she loves
You know that she loves it, she can't live without it, no
Control, hey
Analysis:
- She loves to be in control
- Camilla has said that this is her favourite song as it is really fun
- About having creative control and control of life in general
- To feel good about yourself
Initial ideas for music video:
- A group of girls walking
- Close ups being taken of the girls
- Shots taken in the streets at night time
- Close ups of lamps and houses
Filming plan:
- My initial idea for my music video is close ups, extreme long shots and mid shots of the girls and streets.
- Another thing I want to do is extreme long shots of the streets
- I also want to do shots of cars when they are still and when they are being driven on the street.

Gender:
- Women being objectified and sexualised
- Wearing low cut tops and high waited shorts
- Man asking woman for her number - it shows that the man has to ask women for their numbers and the other way around. However, both women and men would watch these promos
Age:
- Young adults and teenagers would watch and listen to these music videos as they have great percussion and rhythm and they enjoy the music. They are more suited to this type of music because it is bouncy and different.
- The music is more suited to this age group and therefore, they like it more and listen to it more.
Ethnicity:
- R&B and Hip Hop - mostly black people
- Black women and men are in this type of genre mostly
Audience:
- The audience that listen and watch R&B and Hip Hop are late teenagers and young adults. This genre is quite fun and upbeat, but also has an emotional part as well. Therefore, there is a lot of attention from the young adults as they are more sensitive as they are in their time of finding love and settling down and therefore connect to listening to R&B and Hip Hop songs that share and state these feelings.
- R&B music can be emotional as it is mainly about a girl and a boy.
- As R&B music usually has dark themed surroundings and shot in streets, people usually find this relaxing and watch the video for their satisfaction.
- There are also half naked black women being sexualised and objectified in the music video which will get viewings from men and some females. This influences them a lot as it appeals them. people may watch these videos for their own pleasure not because they enjoy the music or song.

First magazine:
The pull quote from Drake, shows that he is happy with his life and wouldn’t want to do a different job. It will influence the reader to find out more about the celebrity and why he loves what he does.
The headline 'The gospel according to Nicki Minaj', with the masthead 'Nicki Minaj' are quite big, but Minaj's name is bigger as she is the highlight of the magazine.
The background colour of the magazine is pink which is a feminine colour and as Nicki Minaj is a women the magazine is appropriating the colour to women. Nicki Minaj's name is also pink which shows the femininity of this magazine.
The costume that Nicki is wearing is different to the layout of the magazine. It's black and white which is different to the pink which makes Nicki stand out.
There are a lot of pull quotes on the front cover of the magazine.

Audience feedback on initial ideas:
Barcode is very small which shows it doesn’t
need to take up much space.
The masthead ‘vibe’ is in red bold letters which reflects
the codes and convention of danger, suspense, thriller, blood and love. There
are many connotations for the colour red and with Kendrick Lamar on the front
cover, it will show that he is bringing those things into the industry.
The skyline is on the side of the magazine cover which will
catch the reader’s attention to look inside and find out more, but not that
much because Kendrick Lamar is enough to catch the reader’s attention.
Kendrick is wearing all white which matches with the
background of the magazine cover which is also white. The colour white
signifies purity and simplicity which contradicts the red connotations.
The main headline is Kendrick Lamar which shows that the
magazine’s main focus is Kendrick.
His hand is positioned as if he is serious and ready for
business and this will influence the female audience. There is also another
name of a male singer Miguel which may also influence the female audience.
At the bottom of the magazine cover it says ‘we dare you to
disagree’, this influences the reader to attempt to disagree with the magazine
and look inside to see more. Little captions on the magazine can influence
readers to open the magazine and read more.
The magazine mainly has the colours red, black and white,
with red sticking out the most. Red is a bright colour and has many
connotations, can be good or bad and this will catch the readers attention.
The magazine wrote to influence the reader ‘your guide to
the best..’ this shows the magazine is tempting the reader to find out more and
also find out what is the best way.
Drake
sings R&B, raps and also sings in the genre hip hop.
Drake has a smiling facial expression shows that he is happy
in the industry.
The pull quote from Drake, shows that he is happy with his life and wouldn’t want to do a different job. It will influence the reader to find out more about the celebrity and why he loves what he does.
The masthead is covered by Drake and it isn’t very bold,
which shows Drake is more important.
The headline is Drake’s name in Bold bigger than the
masthead which shows he is a big celebrity
The barcode is very small which shows that it is not taking
up that much room because it isn’t that important.
The date and reference is very small, but at the top of the
magazine cover because the reader needs to know when the magazine was published
and who it was gate kept by.
There is no skyline which shows that the magazine’s main
focus is Drake and he will be the eye catcher for the readers.
Drake’s facial expression is enough to catch the reader’s
attention as he is already a famous celebrity, so the audience will want to
read the magazine and find out more about him.
Many women love Drake and with him being set on the front
cover, it will gather a lot of attention from the female audience.
The main colours of the magazine are grey, black and white
with Drake sticking out the most with his smiling expression. The colour grey
is quite neutral and simple which means that the magazine did not want the
background colour to be bright so it gets rid of the main focus which is Drake.
Most R&B and hip hop artists wear black and respect the
black culture and on this front cover that is what Drake is representing.
